Dear Families,
As we prepare for the Winter Solstice, later this month, classes are involved in a number of learning opportunities and stories about the season. We have been enjoying the winter weather outside, engaging in cooperative learning with classmates.
With the snow, the paint cannot be seen on the street, however, the bus zone near the parking lot doors and no-stopping zone at the front of the school, continue to be enforced. Safety is important and we have had a number of incidents where families are parking where they should not and this is causing significant concern. Parking signs from the City of Calgary are clearly posted.
December brings a number of important dates for our learning community. Please note, we have a few Spirit Days leading up to Winter Break, students can choose to participate as they like. Also, we will not be doing a school-wide Winter Solstice performance this year.
Upcoming Dates:
Dec 12 – Spirit Day: Candy Cane Day
Dec 15, 16, 17 & 18 – Grade 6 @ Police School Field Trip
Dec 15 – Spirit Day: Holiday Headwear Day

All the best,
