Dear Families, 

After a busy January,  February has arrived, along with some frigid temperatures! We appreciate seeing so many students arriving dressed for the weather. If you have any concerns about outside wear, please feel free to contact the school. It is important to remember that we are outside for recess and often for Phys Ed class when it is warmer than -20 degrees Celsius. Coming to school, set to be outside, is very important!

A reminder that the CBE Waivers team will be at Patrick Airlie the following times: 

  • Tuesday, February 4, 2025, 1-3pm
  • Monday, February 10, 2025, 9am-12pm

Any parents who would like to apply for waivers for the current school year or last school year are welcome to come to the school at these times to get assistance with the process. 

Please bring one of the following:

2023 Notice of Assessment (showing your name, tax year of 2023 and line 15000) for all adults in the family, Current Fair Entry letter (showing names and date of coverage) or Current AISH/Alberta Works card (showing names and date of coverage).


Some reminders for drop-off and pick-up: 

  • Please observe signage when parking (city signs and sandwich boards)
  • Be aware of pedestrians crossing the road
  • Do not encourage students to jay-walk (cross the road where there is no crosswalk or intersection)
  • No smoking on school property or around students
  • Please use appropriate language 
  • No dogs on school property (keep to the sidewalk)

We appreciate the continued team approach towards safety and well-being. The community effort means a lot!

  • February 25 – Grade 1 + Catch-up Immunizations (only those with parent consent)
  • February 26 – Pink Shirt Day 
  • February 28 – No School (PD day)
  • March 19 - School Council & Parent Association Meeting, 6pm online
  • March 20 – Parent Teacher Conferences 430-8pm 
  • March 21 – Parent Teacher Conference 9am-12pm 
  • March 21-28 – Spring Break 
  • March 31 - Classes Resume

*Note: we will communicate regarding any upcoming Spirit Days once they are planned.
