Dear Families, 

Happy New Year! We are excited to see everyone back from Winter Break and ready to learn!

Firstly, I would like to welcome Ms. Harpreet Sanghera who has joined our staff as an Educational Assistant. She will be working throughout our school with a number of classes. Welcome Harpreet, we are so happy to have you join our team!

Safety continues to be a priority, especially at drop-off and pick-up times. Please note there is new signage on the south side of the school for our bus zone and drop off zone. We ask that families please follow the signage.  Our Calgary Police Service (CPS) community team is also working with our school to improve safety for students and their families. Please do not be alarmed if you see them around supporting our school community, they are a fantastic support!

This month, our teachers are busy preparing report cards to send home. This is an opportunity to share your child's progress so far this school year. Reports will be available to view online at the end of January. Please make sure you have access to your myCBE account to view. A reminder this account is your one stop for many things including fees, conferences and viewing assessment data - it is essential all parents/guardians have this set up. Ms. Bawar, in the office, can help if you need it. 

The CBE Waivers Team will be at Patrick Airlie School on February 4 and 10 to support parents/guardians with applying for Central Fee Waivers. We are very privileged to have this onsite support and we would encourage any family who needs to apply, to attend. Support will be given on a drop-in basis.

  • February 28 – No School (non-instructional day)
  • March 19 - School Council Meeting at 6pm (online) 
  • March 20 – Parent Teacher Conferences 430-8pm 
  • March 21 – Parent Teacher Conference 9am-12pm 
  • March 21-28 – Spring Break 
  • March 31 - Classes Resume
