Dear Families,

Happy New Year! We are excited to have our Patrick Airlie community back together following winter break.

I would like to encourage all families to log into their myCBE account to view their child's learning progress. Scores and achievement can be viewed on an ongoing basis as teachers enter assessment data each month. Formal report cards and individual program plan updates will be available for viewing on February 24, 2026. Any particular questions about your child's achievement, please reach out to their teacher.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation with parking at drop-off and pick-up time. We ask families to please observe and follow the no stopping and no parking zone along the front of the school. Note, there is a daycare bus that stops in that area each day but on Friday's they have a large size SUV.  Also, please respect the bus drop-off zone at the parking lot doors of the school.

A reminder that students have designated entry doors based on their grade.  In the morning, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3 and 4 all enter the school at the back playground doors. Only Grade 5 and 6 students enter through the parking lot doors. The front door is only used for late arrivals (after 8:35am).

We appreciate that students are coming dressed for the weather and prepared to be outside each day. Don't forget that your child also requires a pair of indoor shoes (runners are best so they are safe for indoor PE class). As kiddos grow over the year, please check in with your child to make sure these indoor shoes still fit.

Here are some important dates this month:

  • Jan 12 – Kindergarten registration for 2026-27 opens (for new students)
  • Jan 14 – Beauty & The Beast Performance @ FLHS for Grade 3-6 (this is a walking field trip)
  • Jan 21 – School Council Meeting, 6pm online (info to be emailed prior to meeting)
  • Jan 30 – No School (System PD Day)

Any questions, please reach out!

All the best,

Mary-Elizabeth Kaiser
