Dear Families,

I hope this newsletter finds you well! March is a busy time, and we are beginning to plan for the upcoming school year. I would like to take this time to send along some reminders and important dates.

Preparing for the 2025-26 school year, it is a requirement that we have an accurate home address for all our students and the required paperwork. If your family has moved or will be moving, you MUST contact Ms. Bawar to update your information. This is very important, as we need to have accurate student numbers as we plan for the upcoming school year. As Patrick Airlie is a "closed" status school, we are only able to register students who live within our designated area. This means our population is growing and we need to be strict on accepting only resident students.  In addition, we require birth certificates on file for all students, if we do not have this document for your child, please speak with Ms. Bawar and ensure you share it with us ASAP.

If you have a child ready to start Kindergarten in the fall, please complete the registration as soon as possible. This is done online, at the following link

A reminder that the area by the front door of the school is a drop and go zone. We have buses that utilize this space, and we ask families to please be considerate and keep this zone clear. The area by the staff parking lot is also a concern. We have had an increase in families in the parking lot and blocking the accessible bus zone, which is a significant safety concern. Continue to keep safety in mind when you are parking and driving near the school during drop-off and pick-up. The team effort is appreciated.

Due to the ongoing CUPE strike for our facility operators, CBE has made the decision that Parent Teacher Conferences will be done virtually. Families will meet with their child's teacher through Microsoft Teams, which can be accessed on a phone, tablet or computer. More details about booking your appointment will be shared next week and the system opens on Friday, March 14, please monitor your email.

If you have a child in grade 4, 5 or 6, CBE has sent your information on the Alberta Education Assurance Survey. We would ask families to complete this as soon as you can. Your feedback is important!
