Dear Families,
Happy May! As the weather warms up and the sun shines life is busy here at Patrick Airlie School. May and June brings lots of events and trips.
Firstly, I would like to share an invite from our School Council. They will be hosting a presentation by Tracy Mendoza with Autism Calgary on May 22 at 6pm. This will be held on Zoom. This online presentation will share information to help families better understand Autism. Information and resources offered by Autism Calgary, to support students and families, will also be highlighted. Stay tuned for further details and the link to join.
Part of our classroom learning and making connections to the land, includes planting in our school garden. We are moving our planters to the front of our building and we will be adding to our garden throughout the spring. Many classes have started planting, in the classroom, and it is exciting to watch the progress! As we continue to create our outdoor garden we are seeking support from our school community throughout the summer. If you are able to help water our plants, please reach out to Ms. Halls. Her email is ndhalls@cbe.ab.ca Any support is appreciated!
We continue to accept Kindergarten registrations for families who live in our designated attendance area. Please complete registration online, follow this link to get started. Ms. Bawar in our main office is happy to support if you have any questions. We will host a Kindergarten Orientation in June.
It is important to let the office know of any address or phone number changes. Please ensure your child’s information is up to date.
We have a number of field trips coming up, we would ask families to please return field trips forms, complete and as by the set deadlines. This helps with planning and preparation. Thank you to those who are joining as volunteers, we appreciate your time and commitment to our school community.
