Patrick Airlie Casino Nights
A very special thank you to all those who volunteered on Sunday and Monday nights! Many of you dedicated countless hours and late nights to ensure our school secured these crucial funds raising a significant amount of money that will directly impact and benefit our students.
Appropriate Halloween Costumes
We are looking forward to Halloween celebrations and all of the fun costumes that the children will be wearing! In order to keep our school environment safe and fun for everyone, please keep the following school policies in mind when selecting your child's costume:
- No masks
- No weapons including fakes/replicas
- No inflatable costumes
- No gore or violence
Dress For the Weather
As we head into fall, Calgary weather can change quickly. Please ensure your child comes to school each day dressed appropriately for the forecast, including a waterproof jacket, suitable footwear, and any other outdoor gear they may need. In CBE, students go outside for recess and lunch every day unless the temperature falls below -20°C. While a sunny morning can quickly turn into a rainy or windy afternoon, students who get wet outdoors often find it very uncomfortable to sit in damp clothing for the remainder of the school day. Thank you for helping your child stay comfortable, safe, and ready to enjoy outdoor play in all kinds of fall weather!
Attendance at Patrick Airlie School
As we begin the school year, we wish to highlight the importance of daily attendance for student success. Being present at school provides valuable opportunities for learning, connection and participation in the school community. Students are expected to attend regularly and punctually. When students miss 10% or more of instructional time, approximately two or more days a month, it can become challenging for students to fully participate in classroom learning and school activities.
We recognize that various circumstances can affect a student’s attendance and we are committed to approaching these situations with understanding and support. Our school is available to collaborate with families to identify concerns, explore possible strategies, and share information about supports and resources when needed. If your child will not be in attendance at school, we request that you call the school’s attendance line (403 777 -8220) to report their absence. If your child is having ongoing challenges coming to school please reach out to your child’s teacher. Thank you for your commitment to ensuring your child’s regular attendance and learning. We look forward to a great year together.
